The first training of our project ZERO TOLERANCE TO FORCED MARRIAGES was held on 12-13 September 2019 in Mersin. Prof. Dr. Oğuz Polat, the Project Coordinator ASUMA Director and Head of IMDAT., opened the meeting and made a speech on forced marriages in all its dimensions. Av. Zeynep Reva, the Project Coordinator Assistant, made a presentation regarding the legal dimension of the forced marriages and the suggestions, Prof. Dr. Hakan Kar made a presentation on the current situation of forced marriages in the Mersin region; and Prof. Dr. Halis Dokgöz made a presentation regarding the medico-legal approach to forced marriages.
